Waka was formed in 2003 to manufacture CNC routed souvenir products.

The focus soon moved to assisting other businesses to purchase routers and software and learn to use them, with the establishment of the Techno dealership in 2004.

Since then we have added representation of other machine brands and cutting tools and broadened the range of software to meet specific customer requirements.

Trained initially as a Diesel mechanic on construction, mining and marine equipment, before becoming a furniture designer and maker through the 1980's,
specialising in solid timber furniture to original designs and high-grade commercial furniture.
The 1990's were spent developing the business 'Focal Point' to produce highly detailed desktop wooden promotional products using traditional woodwork techniques combined with laser engraving and cutting.
A few years of teaching in Adult Education and High-school technology preceeded the establishment of Waka in 2003.
